Since the dawn of time people have craved the companionship of another, whether it be a romantic relationship or a friendship. We as people just yearn for someone to share our thoughts/ideas and secrets with.

Most people have friends some are lucky enough to have a best friend, majority of the time its a person of the same sex. But what happens when male and females try to have this type of relationship? Is it possible for men and women to have a non-sexual friendship?

Its true that not everyone who has a male or female friend HAS to want to cross the line of friendship but it can become complex. Being in close quarters with someone you find attractive, there personality appeals to you, and maybe a few drinks get in your system and the lines of friendship and something more become blurred..

I think the confusion stems from a woman's desire to want to be close to a man and for a man's desire to want to be intimate with a woman. Let's be honest sometimes that feeling of closeness and caring for each other can easily become lust. You enjoy there company, phone calls text messages and outings can make it feel more like a relationship than a friendship.

So can men and women just be friends? Of course! Does it work? Yes! is it hard? Very!, but if we can fly with out wings anything is possible.
